Our Process
Electron beam welding is a fusion joining process performed in a high-vacuum environment. An electron gun produces a finely focused beam of electrons that converts energy to heat upon contact with the target metal. This results in minimal distortion, no oxides and incomparable weld strength. The fusion of the base metals reduces the need for filler metals. The beam of electrons is maneuvered and controlled by digital equipment. Programmed to preset parameters, the beam of electrons is capable of producing a stronger and cleaner weld than any other fusion welding processes.
Our equipment is capable of welding foils as thin as .002 inches and penetrating steel up to half an inch thick. The welders are 3KW rapid cycle machines with automatic weld repeatability for preset parameters. Customer-supplied parts are welded in a 3,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned facility.

Quality
Our welders are qualified per AWS D17.1: 2001. We weld to AMS 2681B unless specified otherwise by customer requirements. Our quality assurance manual is set up along the guidelines of AS9100. We are approved by Aerojet-Rocketdyne for electron beam welding.
